Charles
N. Adams, Jr., P.E.

Forty
years of diversified experience in the mechanical
engineering and related fields.
Licensed to practice engineering in twenty-one states.
Oversees all aspects of the firm’s work, providing
both guidance and expertise on mechanical engineering
and related projects.
Has worked extensively with power house systems,
including engineering, design, and startup for fuel
conversion projects; developing boiler and feedwater
treatment programs, designing steam condensate recovery
systems; and analyzing boilers, refrigeration machines,
cooling towers, and air compressors.
Performed studies ranging in focus from
feasibility studies to evaluate engineering
considerations for process and industrial plant
expansions to energy conservation studies for
identifying and defining energy losses in buildings,
HVAC systems, processes, and equipment. Has extensive experience in industrial design, all aspects of
HVAC systems, and solid waste incineration.
Honored as
engineer of the year in 1992 by his peer groups in local
engineering technical societies. Recognized for his
design expertise in the design of mechanical systems for
large complex building projects to achieve low first

Joe
B. Hutcherson III, P.E.
President
Thirty
three years of diversified experience in the
civil/structural engineering field and is a licensed
professional engineer in twenty-six states.
Currently, provides overall company management as well
as engineering oversight
on the firm's civil and structural projects.
Civil experience includes extensive work with the
development of site grading plans, storm water drainage and detention, and water, sewer, and gas
utilities. Work with structural projects includes
a variety of engineering studies and reports ranging in
focus from structural capacity of trusses, floor
systems, and foundations to expert witness testimony for
several cases involving structural failures. Designed
structural systems for commercial and heavy industrial
projects to
support building superstructures and process equipment as well as the design and analysis of numerous single-
and multi-story buildings using a range of structural
systems. Extensively involved with the
structural design of commercial, industrial, and
municipal buildings and has extensive experience in
seismic design. Projects include a 12,000 seat
column-free enclosed
sports arena, shopping malls, hospital structures, and
numerous other projects ranging from office structures
to municipal buildings such as fire halls, convention
centers, and interstate rest areas using active and
passive solar energy systems.

Thomas
L. Miller, Jr., P.E.
Chief
Operating Officer
Over thirty years of engineering experience in
designing, installing, and maintaining electrical
systems on commercial and industrial projects.
Licensed professional engineer in twenty three states.
Serves as chief electrical engineer for the firm as well
as the production coordinator and supervisor for the
firm as a whole. Experience in the commercial and
industrial realm is extensive, includes overall design,
operation, and maintenance responsibility for high
voltage transmission lines for a major power utility.
Before coming to March Adams, served as a corporate
staff electrical engineer, fully responsible for
electrical distribution systems, energy management
systems, design and installation of new equipment. In
the area of pollution abatement, has modified, operated,
and maintained boiler dust collectors and wet scrubbers.
Provided the electrical design for secondary waste
treatment facilities and air monitoring equipment and
has extensive experience with design and programming of
PLC control systems.
